Soochipara Waterfalls
A three-tiered waterfall near Meppadi, also called Sentinel Rock Falls, dropping about 200 metres into a pool.
Soochipara, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, falls in three steps from a height of about 200 metres into a clear pool. It lies off the Kozhikode–Vythiri–Gudalur road, about 23 km from Kalpetta, in deciduous and evergreen forest.
From the road it is a 2 km walk over rocky paths to the falls. The pool at the bottom is the place to cool off, and there are shallow pools, small springs and picnic spots around it. The rocks and slopes nearby are used for trekking and rock climbing, and tree huts give views over the forest.
