Xandari Riverscapes runs a fleet of 10 traditional kettuvallam houseboats on the backwaters, starting near Pallathuruthy bridge on the A C Road in Alappuzha.

Each boat has one, two or three air-conditioned bedrooms, an open-air living area, a full kitchen and a viewing deck. Trips start at noon with a Kerala lunch cooked on board, include canoe trips into the narrower waterways, and end with dinner where the boat moors for the night.
